Star Guild Awards 2014: Salman Shocks Shahrukh

Sometimes, you cannot tell if there is a fire so fresh and burning red beneath cold ash! Like that, Arch rivals act like close friends at times. What we saw just now in Star Guild Award 2014 night is be just that! Salman Khan, who is hosting the Star Guild Award show, not only greeted but congratulated Shahrukh Khan on the mega success of his film Chennai Express.

But in the end, Salman, in a trickiest way, asked Shahrukh to say ‘Jai Ho'. What else could be a tragic defeat for Shahrukh if he himself promotes the latest film of his arch enemy? As Jai Ho is the name of Salman's latest flick, Shahrukh chanting ‘Jai Ho' could have been the biggest publicity Salman's film have ever got. But Shahrukh answered Salman's request with a friendly hand gesture.

Salman, first asked Shahrukh who was sitting among the star crowd, "Shahrukh, kya ho raha hai?" Then, to add more to Shahrukh's and the crowd's surprise, Salman congratulates Shahrukh for the epic success of his film, Chennai Express. King Khan acknowledged this with a hand gesture, with surprise and confusion visible on his face. But Salman didn't stop there but asked him to say Jai Ho, receiving thunderous response from the crowd.

Well, poor Shahrukh was so unassuming that he didn't see it coming! He just repeated his own act of raising his hand like an agreement to Salman's demand.

Everyone knows the Salman-Shahrukh enmity which first sparked off six years before in Katrina Kaif's birthday bash, in 2008. The two superstars, reportedly, got into a heated conversation in the party, regarding Salman's ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai. From that time, Salman and Shahrukh has been cold to each other.

Will today's event possibly be a good start for friendship between these superstars of Bollywood or a beginning of another big war? Only time will tell!
