Ranveer Singh Apologises For His Insensitive Advertisement! Says He Treats Women With Utmost Respect
Ranveer Singh apologises for his insensitive advertisement for Jack & Jones clothing brand in which he is seen carrying a woman on his back & the slogan has not gone down well with a few people.
Ranveer
Singh
is
seen
in
many
crazy
advertisements
but
his
new
advert
for
a
popular
clothing
brand
has
drawn
the
ire
of
many
people
who
deemed
it
as
offensive
and
insensitive
towards
women.
However,
the
brand
has
confirmed
that
they
have
pulled
out
the
hoarding
across
all
cities
and
even
Ranveer
Singh
apologised
on
the
issue.
"It
was
important
to
give
the
brand
the
creative
freedom
while
designing
the
campaign
but
I
guess
we
got
it
wrong
on
one
of
those
billboards.
I
am
sorry
this
happened
but
it
is
a
thing
of
past.
We
rectified
it
immediately
by
having
the
hoarding
taken
down
as
early
as
possible
from
over
30
cities
overnight"
Ranveer
Singh
said
in
a
statement.
He
further
added,
"I
treat
all
women
with
utmost
respect
both
professionally
and
personally
and
would
never
do
anything
to
disrespect
them."
Even
Rang
De
Basanti
star
Siddharth
was
offended
with
the
billboard
and
was
the
first
celeb
to
talk
against
it.
He
took
to
Twitter
showing
his
displeasure
as,
"A
new
low
for
women's
rights
in
the
workplace
in
India.
What
were
they
thinking?
#Fail."
