Rajkumar
Hirani's
biopic
on
Sanjay
Dutt
is
one
of
the
most
awaited
films
of
this
year.
Showbiz,
women,
jail,
drugs...the
actor's
controversial
life
promises
to
make
a
riveting
watch.
But,
it
has
also
left
everyone
guessing
as
to
what
portions
of
his
life
story
would
actually
end
up
on
the
silver
screen.
In
one
of
the
earlier
interviews,
Ranbir
Kapoor
who
plays
the
title
role
had
said,
"Sanjay's
lived
his
life.
He
owned
up
to
his
mistakes,
he's
paid
the
price
for
it.
He's
been
through
much...
his
mother
(the
late
Nargis
Dutt)
passing
away
just
before
the
premiere
of
his
film,
drug
abuse,
being
labelled
a
terrorist,
his
failed
marriages,
the
grind
of
punishment...
We're
not
trying
to
project
Sanjay
Dutt
in
any
way,
it's
not
a
propaganda
film.
Recently
when
we
met
Arshad
Warsi
for
an
exclusive
interview,
we
couldn't
help
ourselves
from
asking
him
what
he
thinks
about
this
film
on
his
good
friend
and
'Munnabhai'
co-star.
Arshad
told
us,
"I
am
looking
forward
to
the
Sanjay
Dutt
biopic.
I
know
the
script.
It's
brilliant.
I
feel
it
will
be
fortunate
that
people
will
get
to
see
what
actually
happened
with
Sanju.
Something
which
nobody
knows.
It's
a
sad
case.
Everybody
just
gets
up,
shouts
and
points
fingers.
But
nobody
really
knows
the
truth.
It's
sad
how
nobody
even
knows
anything
about
it.
After
seeing
the
film,
everybody
would
say
poor
guy
went
through
all
this
for
nothing."
The
biopic
also
stars
Sonam
Kapoor
as
Sanjay's
earlier
love
interest,
Anushka
Sharma
as
a
scribe,
Vicky
Kaushal
as
Sanjay's
friend,
Dia
Mirza
as
Maanyata
Dutt,
Paresh
Rawal
as
Sunil
Dutt
and
Manisha
Koirala
as
Nargis
Dutt.
