List Of Actresses Launched By Dr Rajkumar's Banner
Many aspiring actresses of Sandalwood have been launched by Kannada's cultural icon Dr Rajkumar's home banners - Poornima Enterprises and Vajreshwari Combines. The actresses, who made their debut with Rajkumar's films have also ruled the industry for many years. It was also considered as the biggest boon for the actresses to be introduced by Kannada's matinee idol Dr Rajkumar's production, which was also an added advantage for their bright film career.
When Rajkumar's three children - Shivaraj Kumar aka Shivanna, Raghavendra Rajkumar aka Raghanna and Puneet Rajkumar aka Appu was set to make their acting debut, Dr Rajkumar decided to introduce young talents to the film industry. The actresses, who were seen on Kannada silver screen for the first time were successful enough to wove the audience with their mind blowing performance in acting, dance and other skills. Be it from Dream Girl Sudharani to Sandalwood King Ramya, all the actresses, who made their acting debut with Dr Rajkumar's home banner films ruled Kannada film industry for many years with record number of hit movies in their kitty. Sudharani
Though Sudharani made her acting debut as a child artist in Kiladi Kittu and Ranganayaki, her debut film as a lead actress was Anand, which also marked the on-screen debut of Sandalwood King Shivaraj Kumar.
Malashree
Malashree made her on-screen debut with Nanjundi Kalyana, which also marked the acting debut of Raghavendra Rajkumar. Later the actress became famous for her record number of action movies.
Mohini
Apart from Kannadigas, Dr Rajkumar's home banner was also the boon for other language actress to make their Kannada debut. Malayalee beauty Mohini made her Sandalwood debut with Kalyana Mantapa opposite Raghavendra Rajkumar in 1991.
Prema
Prema made her debut with Raghavendra Rajkumar starrer Aata Hudugata. She also played female lead to Shivanna in many movies. The combination of the duo was also seen in Sandalwood's all time blockbuster Om, which was directed by Upendra.
Anu Prabhakar
Anu Prabhakar made her on-screen debut with Hrudaya Hrudaya opposite Hattrick Hero Shivaraj Kumar. The actress also ruled Kannada film industry for few years.
Rakshitha
Rakshitha was the daughter of Sandalwood's ace actress Mamatha Rao. She made her acting debut Power Star Puneet Rajkumar's Appu, which also marked the debut of Puneet as a lead actor.
Ramya
Ramya aka Divya Spandana made her debut with Abhi opposite Puneet Rajkumar. Though she is currently a busy bee in politics, the actress is still considered as the Sandalwood Queen.
Apoorva
Apoorva will be the latest add to the list of actresses to be launched under Dr Rajkumar's home banner. Though she has made her acting debut with Teenage opposite award winning filmmaker Master Kishen, Siddharatha is likely to give a huge break for the actress's film career.
