Mahabharat’s Arpit Ranka Says ‘Saas Bahu Ladke’ Can’t Do His Roles! Is He Hinting At Someone?
While talking about being stereotyped television actor Arpit Ranka says not all actors can play his roles. The actor is currently busy working on his south Indian projects.
Television's
Duryodhan
Arpit
Ranka
known
for
his
role
in
the
Indian
mythological
drama
show
Mahabharat
might
have
been
away
from
the
small
screen
for
a
while
now,
but
the
actor
has
an
interesting
line
up
of
television
shows
and
films
that
he's
working
on.
While
talking
to
Times
Of
India,
Arpit
said
that
he
might
have
been
stereotyped
for
the
sort
of
roles
he's
always
played,
but
its
not
everybody's
cup
of
tea.
The
actor
said,
"I
have
got
a
lot
of
offers,
but
they
were
all
for
a
mythological
show
or
a
historical
drama.
I
think
it's
also
because
of
my
look,
but
honestly,
I
don't
feel
bad
about
it.
Har
kisi
ke
bas
ki
baat
nahi
hai
aise
roles
karna.
Agar
kisi
saas-bahu
wale
ladke
ko
bolo
aise
roles
karne
ko
toh
woh
nahi
kar
payega.
For
such
roles,
it's
important
to
have
a
personality
and
I
have
got
that.
While
others
find
such
roles
difficult,
I
feel
really
proud
that
I
can
do
justice
to
them,".
Talking
about
the
less
known
side
of
the
showbiz
industry,
the
actor
said
no
matter
what
one
does
and
how
much
effort
they
put
in,
growth
of
the
career
is
limited.
He
said,
"It
definitely
gives
you
popularity,
but
you
only
get
to
experiment
in
films.
That's
why
I
am
also
trying
my
luck
in
films.
I
have
a
couple
of
offers
as
well,
but
I
don't
want
to
take
up
just
anything.
As
an
artist,
I
respect
myself
and
I
will
only
do
work
that
challenges
me.
I
want
to
play
a
positive
character,
maybe
one
of
those
lover
boys
on
TV
and
experiment
a
little."
When
asked
if
he's
interested
in
being
a
part
of
any
reality
show,
especially
Bigg
Boss,
the
actor
said
that
he's
really
short
tempered
an
that
would
make
him
an
easy
target
among
the
other
contestants.
Saying
how
his
wife
would
like
to
see
him
on
the
reality
show,
he
said,
"My
wife
watches
all
reality
shows
and
her
favourite
is
'Bigg
Boss'.
She
wants
me
to
participate,
but
is
also
sceptical
about
it.
Honestly,
I
really
don't
want
to
do
a
reality
show
again."
"I
was
the
first
choice
for
the
show.
Whatever
they
might
say,
height
was
never
the
reason
for
my
exit.
Nirbhay
Wadhwa
is
five
inches
shorter
than
me.
I
had
almost
signed
the
agreement,
but
I
had
a
couple
of
issues.
They
didn't
replace
me,
I
walked
out
of
the
show,",
he
concluded
by
clarifying
his
exist
from
the
show
Qayamat
Ki
Raat.
