As far as the fans of Kannada cinema are concerned, Sudeep is a name that well and truly needs no introduction at all. The much-loved 'Abhinaya Chakravarthy' enjoys a strong fan following thanks to his mesmerising screen presence, good looks, solid performances and suave personality. During his successful career, he has starred in several big films and this has established him as a force to be reckoned with. At present, Deepanna is in the limelight because of his latest release The Villain.
The film hit the screens on October 18, 2018 and opened to a phenomenal response at the Karnataka box office. Now, almost a month later, the film is still raking in the moolah. Here is the latest box office update.
According to the latest reports, The Villain collected nearly Rs 25 Lakh at the Karnataka box office on November 8, 2018 and remained the pick of the target audience. This is quite a decent figure considering the fact that has been in the theatres for nearly a month now.
The Villain Exceeds Expections
The Villain is the biggest Kannada film in the recent times. It has been shot against a budget of Rs 60 Crore and released on nearly 500 screens in Karnataka during week 1. Needless to say, the fans had high expectations from it. And, based on the collections, it seems to have lived up to the expectations big time.
Did The Mixed WOM Affect The Villain?
The general feeling is that The Villain is an entertaining film which features a riveting performance from Sudeep. However, Shivarajkumar's fans are a bit unhappy about the film as the 'Hattrick Hero' has a smaller when compared to Sudeep. One gets the feeling that the vollections would have been even better had the WOM not been mixed.
The villain is likely to rake in some more money at the box office before ultimately ending its run on a good note. In other words, The Villain's reign is far from over. Enough said!
