Malayalam
actress
Adoor
Bhavani
passed
away
and
she
has
been
laid
at
rest,
but
many
controversies
have
sprung
up
from
the
funeral
pyre.
The
veteran
actress" son
Rajeevkumar
has
expressed
his
resentment
at
the
marked
absence
of
the
AMMA
(Association
of
Malayalam
Movie
Artists)
members
at
his
mother"s
funeral.
He
felt
that
his
mother
was
ignored
with
barely
a
dozen
members
attending
the
ceremony.
This
has
been
a
blessing
in
disguise
for
filmmaker
Vinayan,
general
secretary
of
the
Malayalam
Cine
Technicians
Association
(MACTA),
who
has
been
waiting
for
a
golden
opportunity
to
seek
revenge.
He
made
most
of
the
situation
by
criticizing,
“The
state
saw
huge
presence
of
AMMA
members
when
actors
like
Murali,
Lohithadas
and
Rajan
P
Dev
passed
away
recently.
Amma
should
have
made
adequate
arrangements
for
at
least
some
members
to
be
at
the
site
of
last
rites,
which
could
have
eased
the
grief
of
the
family".
However
Edavela
Babu,
secretary
of
AMMA
replied
that
the
fraternity
was
aptly
represented
by
former
secretary
T
P
Madhavan,
actress
Kaviyoor
Ponnamma,
executive
member
Manian
Pillai
Raju
and
himself
on
the
occasion.
The
embers
have
been
cast
and
the
flames
are
yet
to
burn
brightly.
