Rohit
Shetty's
Chennai
Express,
which
kept
the
bells
ringing
at
the
Box
Office
for
three
weeks,
has
finally
slowed
down
in
the
domestic
market.
With
its
screen
count
decreasing
considerably
in
the
fourth
week,
the
Shahrukh
Khan
and
Deepika
Padukone
starrer
was
seen
hitting
the
rock
bottom
over
the
weekend.
The
movie
is
likely
to
end
its
journey
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
with
Rs
227
to
230
crores
nett.
Without
having
any
big
competitor,
Chennai
Express
released
in
3,500
on
August
8,
and
did
record-breaking
collection
at
the
Indian
Box
Office
in
the
first
week.
Despite
losing
out
several
screens
to
new
releases
like
Once
Upon
A
Time
In
Mumbaai
Dobara
and
Madras
Cafe
in
its
second
and
third
weeks,
respectively,
the
Rohit
Shetty-directed
action
comedy
managed
to
do
good
business
in
the
domestic
market.
In
the
fourth
week,
the
new
release
Satyagraha
took
away
many
of
the
prime
screens
of
Chennai
Express,
which
affected
the
collection
of
the
latter
in
this
weekend.
With
two
days
left
to
complete
its
fourth
week,
the
Shahrukh
and
Deepika
starrer
has
collected
Rs
4.91
crores
nett
at
Indian
Box
Office,
taking
its
26-day
domestic
total
to
Rs
223.33
crores
nett.
However,
two
most-hyped
and
highly-anticipated
movies
like
Shudh
Desi
Romance
and
Zanjeer
are
hitting
the
screens
this
Friday.
They
will
reduce
the
screen
count
of
Chennai
Express
further
in
its
fifth
week.
Trade
experts
feel
that
the
Rohit
Shetty
film
will
not
be
able
to
cross
Rs
230
crore
mark
in
its
lifetime.
