Ram to romance Kriti Kharbanda

After the release of Endhukante Premanta, Telugu actor Ram Pothineni is now busy shooting for his upcoming movie Ongole Gitta, which is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaksar and produced by BVSN Prasad. The chocolate hero would romance milky white actress Kriti Kharbanda in the film.

Earlier, actress Shubha Phutela was roped in to pair with Ram in the movie Ongole Gitta, but the makers had to remove her after the first schedule in Guntur due to medical reasons. Later, they signed South African model Nikhita Rhea, who came on board and walked out of this romantic drama. The reason is not clear as to why she was dropped from this project.

The latest reports suggest that actress Kriti Kharbanda has been roped in to play female lead alongside Ram in Ongole Gitta. In a statement to an English daily, producer BVSN Prasad himself has confirmed the news about casting Kriti Kharbanda for the film. According to him, the next schedule of the movie will start soon in Tanuku.

Initially, Bhaskar had approached Tamil actor Karthi for the role of the hero. After he rejected, the director tried to rope in Allu Arjun. But finally, it was Ram Pothineni, who agreed to play the role. The film's story is set in the backdrop of Guntur market yard. Venkatesh is cranking the camera, while GV Prakash Kumar composes music for the movie.
