If early estimates are to be believed, the film is expected to earn around Rs. 20-22 crores on Day 1. As per a Box Office India, Simmba witnessed the ninth-best opening of the year. The film is expected to pick up business over the weekend with positive word-of-mouth.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film revolves around a corrupt cop Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba (Ranveer Singh) who is forced to choose the rightous path after an unfortunate incident.
