Chillar Party to open IIFA festival

Actor Salman Khan production, Chillar Party will open the 12th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) in Toronto. The film, which has been produced by Salman Khan's Being Human Productions, revolves around the lives of seven kids belonging to different layers of the society.

"Chillar Party is very close to my heart...the concept appealed to me and the children's performances were endearing. This is the first film under SKBH Productions, and we felt there was no better place to screen it than the IIFA Film Festival," Salman told reporters last evening. The film is directed by debutants Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari and is co-produced by Ronnie Screwwala. Chillar Party is slated to be released on July 8.

Altogether 20 films will be screened across four cities, Toronto, Markham, Brampton and Mississauga, during the IIFA festival. They include Dabangg, Chak De India, Rang De Basanti, Dil to Pagal Hai, Hera Pheri, Black, Dilwale Dhulania Le Jayenge and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye.
