Popular pan-India star Rashmika Mandanna, who came into the national spotlight with her dance numbers and performance in Allu Arjun's Telugu superhit entertainer Pushpa: The Rise, was instantly declared the nation's crush. Everybody was eager to know more about the Kannada girl, while she soon got a bunch of amazing offers from Bollywood. However, the young and bubbly actress has always faced negative criticism and trolls for expressing her opinions.

The 26-year-old star was recently trolled mercilessly for her remarks on how Bollywood films have always had the best romantic numbers, while the South has only masala and item numbers. Her comments did not go down well with some people on the internet. Many took offence at Rashmika's comments, and fans reacted angrily on social media.

One user wrote, "This is why Kannada people hate her. She speaks without even thinking properly (sic)." Another commnted, "She might be wrong in stereotyping the industries but as fans we all are proud of our masala and item numbers, which pump up the adrenaline in the movie. I understand not liking the stereotype as Telugu melodies are unmatched, but this bashing is shameful (sic)."

RASHMIKA MANDANNA'S INSTAGRAM POST

And a day later, after receiving severe backlash, Rashmika Mandanna has stood up for herself against all the hate. Clapping back at the trollers, Rashmika shared a few pictures and wrote, "I got to see so much love pouring in that day and it makes me feel extremely grateful... Thank you my loves... last few days of 2022... and this new year I hope there's only and only love for all of you... God bless you with good health and happiness!" followed by a couple of white heart emoticons.

Donned in off-white saree with floral prints on its border and heavy printed sleeveless blouse, Rashmika in both the pictures is seen flashing her million dollar smile. The actress accessorised her look with jhumkas and bangles and kept her hair open in waves. She added a bindi to complete the look and went for a glam makeup look with lots of mascara.

WHAT DID RASHMIKA SAY?

Rashmika Mandanna was promoting her forthcoming spy thriller Hindi movie Mission Majnu, where she said, "Bollywood romantic songs were a thing. For me, while growing up, romantic songs meant Bollywood numbers. In South, we have mass masala, item numbers and dance numbers. This is my first Bollywood romantic song. I am so excited because it's so good (sic)." The video went viral on social media, inviting criticism from audiences. Earlier, she was trolled for not watching Kannada hit Kantara.
