Thiruvananthapuram: Superstar Mohanlal is one Malayalam actor, who has always experimented with his roles. Recently, he was in news for sporting eight different looks in director Joshiy's Lokpal. Especially, his getup as Sardar created lot of curiosity among the film goers. The latest buzz is that he is playing a full-fledged role of a Sardar in director VM Vinu's forthcoming film, which is yet-to-be titled.

This untitled Malayalam film, which is written by Deepu Karunakaran, is going to be an out and out comedy entertainer. Set in the 80s, the movie unfolds in a village, where wrestling is a popular sport. The story revolves around the life of a wrestler named Happy Singh. Mohanlal will be seen as wrestler Happy Singh in this flick, which is expected to start rolling later this year.


Mohanlal and VM Vinu have already worked together in 2003 movie Balettan, which featured the actor as a bank accountant named Athanipparambil Balachandran, who is always willing to lend a helping hand. The movie was the biggest hit of the year 2003 ahead all the other 55 films released. It was also a critically-acclaimed film and won the Kaveri Film Critics' Award for the most popular Malayalam film of 2003. Now, it should be seen whether the duo's latest outing will repeat the magic of Balettan.
