Dulquer Salmaan As Aakash
Dulquer Salmaan will be the best choice for the role of a spoilt brat, who totally disbelieves in the concepts of romance and marriage. A perfect replacement for the role portrayed by Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan.
Nivin Pauly As Sameer
The role of Sameer, the confused, desperately romantic guy who falls in love with any girl, is tailor-made for Nivin Pauly. The actor can surely play the role to near perfection and woo us with his amazing screen presence.
Fahadh Faasil As Siddharth
We cannot really think of any other better choice for the role of Siddharth, the artist other than the supremely-talented Fahadh Faasil. He is a perfect replacement for the character of calm, composed, mature guy, played by Akshaye Khanna.
Manju Warrier As Tara
The obvious choice for the role, which was wonderfully played by Dimple Kapadia. We are sure Manju Warrier will steal the show with her portrayal of a divorced, alcoholic woman, who longs for her daughter.

Pooja, the character essayed by Sonali Kulkarni in Dil Chahta Hai, is safe in the hands of newbie Madonna Sebastian. She can perfectly essay the role of the prospective bride of Sameer, who initially rejects him.
Nazriya Nazim As Siddharth's Love Interest (Special Cameo In The Climax)
It will be truly wonderful to watch Fahadh Faasil and Nazriya Nazim together onscreen once again, if she makes a special cameo appearance in the movie as Siddharth's love interest in the climax portion.
During the pre-production stage of Bangalore Days, it was rumoured that the movie is an official remake of Dil Chahta Hai. The grapevine had suggested that Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Fahadh Faasil, and Manju Warrier were the part of the project.
The audiences and media were quite excited to know about the association of the three most promising young actors, with the lady superstar. But later, director Anjali Menon officially confirmed that the movie is not a remake of Dil Chahta Hai.
However, we strongly feel that it is one of the rare Bollywood films, which truly deserves a remake in Malayalam. We are sure that that the movie will create new box office records if it is remade with the suggested star cast.
